12/25/2023 0 Comments Wrc 10 ps5 review![]() To be able to run your own team in career mode you have to finish up the 50th-anniversary events which quite frankly is an absurd barrier to put in place particularly as it renders what is a basic but solid livery editor pretty much pointless.īoth the 50th-anniversary mode and team mode has been locked behind utterly absurd and nonsensical design choices which should have been available from the start. This iteration also adds the 50th-anniversary mode and events which really are great but only some of them can be accessed by that mode to start off with and the rest then only become available when you unlock them in career mode.Įven if you do unlock them in the career mode it can sometimes not unlock in the 50th-anniversary mode even if you completed them a number of times. ![]() The other new feature is that full-length rallies can now be run with shakedowns and there are 14 stages plus durations available which adds massively to the depth and challenge when combined with the tire strategy before each stage. It’s not a perfect implementation as you are forced to pick your tires before you can see the stage details and lengths but is a great addition to the career mode. There are 2 new features added to this latest entry and the first is the tire strategy which is a fundamental of the real sport and has been missing from rally titles for too long. One odd point is that the AI settings have no effect on the pace of historic events. The career mode is great and has some excellent stage design, and challenging stage lengths and overall, it is a very well-developed and well-rounded career mode. The racing simulation feels more or less the same as last year’s entry as the pace is quite variable across different surfaces so as a result never feels as well balanced as it could be and it just feels like it’s an area the developers feel if it works it works.
